The volatile oil obtained by distillation from the fresh peel or juice of Citrus Limon L. Burmann filius (family Rutaceae). This oil is a nearly colorless liquid having the characteristic odor of the fruit. Soluble most fixed oils, insoluble glycerin and propylene glycol.
